latest work – 2011 Ebbets Field Flannels Holiday catalog

November 1, 2011 1 comment

Ebbets latest catalog features a picture of Ebbets Field with a trolley in the foreground. Best guesses say the picture is from the mid-1940′s. I designed the catalog using Adobe’s InDesign programs.

Ebbets Field Flannels sells vintage jerseys, jackets and caps made in America the old fashioned way, using original materials and manufacturing techniques and focuses on non-major league historical items such as the Negro leagues and the pre-1958 Pacific Coast League.

Latest work – maps and catalogs

I’m creating a series of 11 x 17 maps  using Illustrator, in full color, front and back, for Peninsula Truck Lines to be folded in half as a presentation piece. The color coding represents transit times based on 3 and 5-digit zip codes. Each of the 4 maps will vary by their different outbound transit cities.

I’m also starting work on my fifth Ebbets Field Flannel catalog, the Holiday 2010 – 2011 edition.

New work

I just finished another 24 page catalog for Ebbets Field Flannels, the Fall 2011 issue. The cover features Johnny Bates, a former Major League baseball player. The original picture I was given was in black and white. I added subtle color to it using Photoshop for use in the catalog.

Additionally, I edited a web banner for a life coaching web site entitled Danger, Sex & Magic.

Add a new level to your Facebook tracking

If you haven’t created your own customized intro page for your Facebook business, install this app and follow the instructions: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=190322544333196

Facebook has its own tracking report that Page users get once a week, but you can get a more detailed tracking report using Google Analytics. Follow this great tutorial at HyperArts to install Analytics tracking on your Facebook custom Page. The only thing I would add to the tutorial, is stay in “Old Version” (top right of your screen in Analytics) at least until you’ve created added your new Facebook profile.

New Facebook Business Page

I just updated my Rose Creative Studio Facebook. Take a look: http://www.facebook.com/RoseCreativeStudio

I’m using the longer banner for my profile pic and the iframes app for my landing page. This is also called a welcome page, gate page or reveal tab. The idea is to encourage visitors to “like” your page before they can view the content.

But, why make it harder for someone to explore your site?! So, for those of you who don’t already know, just click on the Wall link if you’d rather explore first and like later.
